FAQs

When is the best time to come to Lune?

The best time is always opening time (we open at 7.30am on weekdays and 8am on weekends).

Items may sell out throughout the day. In order to have a wider selection of pastries to choose from, we encourage you to try to visit us as early as possible.

When do we bake our croissants?

We’re always baking fresh throughout the day! Any croissant purchased at Lune is generally baked within the hour.

Can I make a booking for dine-in?

At Lune, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis for our regular counter service. This is in the spirit of fairness for all who travel far and wide to try a Lune croissant. Our staff are more than happy to help you find a spot at your time of visit.

Bookings are available for our Lune Lab experience. Find out more here.

Please note, not all Lune venues offer seated dine-in.

Why isn’t the full monthly menu available in all venues?

Each Lune venue operates differently due to size of the venue and the volume of guests. Varying factors can result in a more streamlined offering to ensure we can serve everyone promptly and maintain the quality you’ve come to expect from Lune.

We understand it may not always be convenient to travel to our other locations, and we’re continuously looking at ways to increase our offering from every Lune venue.

The menu for each Lune venue can be found here.

What time do you sell out?

It can be difficult to predict exact sell out times, as it always depends on the business of the day and the size of the orders placed. We always recommend coming as close to open as possible to ensure you have a larger selection of pastries to choose from.

Do you deliver?

While we are unable to offer delivery at this time, we’re always exploring opportunities to bring the goodness of Lune pastries to a wider audience.

Where can I pre-order from?

In Melbourne, you can pre-order at Lune Armadale. If you’re in Brisbane, both Lune South Brisbane and Lune Brisbane CBD are offering pre-orders. If you’d like to place an order, click here.

While we’d love to bring pre-orders to all our venues, it’s not feasible due to the unique demands of each location. We’re always assessing and considering options to enhance our pre-order service.

Do you take cash?

Lune made the decision to go cashless back in 2018 in an effort to minimise hygiene risk. Card payments are also more efficient for such a fast-paced environment and streamlines our service.

Do you have any gluten free products?

While we would love to have an option for our gluten free friends, we are yet to find a product that provides the same flavour and quality of our current base product.

Are Lune products Halal Friendly?

Our base product, the croissant dough, is made using halal-friendly ingredients. However, it does not have Halal certification.

The classic range (Traditional, Pain au Chocolat, Kouign Amann, Morning Bun and Lemon Curd Cruffin) are considered to be halal friendly.

Our ‘Twice-baked’ or seasonal specials may not be suitable, depending on the additional ingredients used.

You can find the specific dietary information for each pastry, within the menu of the venue you are planing to visit, here.

It’s worth noting that our brushes for the egg wash are also made with goat hair.

Are any Lune pastries nut free?

Our base product, the croissant dough, does not have any nuts added or incorporated into it. However, Lune operates an open kitchen where nuts are present. Although our chefs take incredible care at keeping their areas sanitised and cleaned down between different pieces of preparation, no product at Lune is considered nut free.

Are you hiring?

Absolutely, we’re always on the lookout for passionate individuals to join our team! If you’re interested in becoming a part of the Lune team you can visit our careers page here.

Do you offer wholesale?

Our pastries are generally baked and sold within the hour. Quality and freshness is of the upmost importance to Lune. As such, we are not able to provide wholesale at this point in time.

When are you opening in Sydney?

We are all set to open our Sydney flagship venue in Darlinghurst in mid-2024. We’ll follow that very shortly with a Sydney CBD venue too.
